“We’ve seen site visitors increase by 102 percent and that means more people than ever are learning about our mission to bring improved healthcare to women and children living in extreme poverty.” – Bruce Wilkinson, CEO and President, CMMB
NEW YORK May 18, 2018
On May 9, 2018, the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts announced the winners of the 24th Annual Communicator Awards. We are proud to announce that CMMB's website – cmmb.org – was recognized with distinction and awarded a silver medal among entries from across the United States and the world, under the category of General Charitable Organizations.
“This award is the result of passion and teamwork. Passion for the work we do, bringing a voice to the voiceless – sharing the stories of women and children living in extreme poverty. And teamwork and collaboration from the dedicated group of people, mostly women on my team, that working together are unstoppable.” – Lara Villar, SVP, Strategy, Marketing and Communications
Steve Rio, founder of Briteweb, the company that developed and built the website says, “Awards like this are only possible when two teams come together as one and create something truly special. Beyond being beautiful, the website has been highly effective in raising awareness and support for the incredible work that CMMB does around the world. We're proud and grateful for our partnership with CMMB, which has grown deeper over two+ years and multiple collaborations. Congratulations to Bruce Wilkinson, Lara Villar and her team, and to the entire CMMB community on the much-deserved recognition.”
The Communicator Awards is recognized as the largest and most competitive awards program of its kind. The awards honor creative excellence for communication professionals. All entrants are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from a variety of visual arts disciplines, including Disney, MTV, Starbucks, Time Inc., and Yahoo.
CMMB CEO and President, Bruce Wilkinson responded to the news of the award saying,”The launch of our new website in September 2016 was just the beginning of a new, digital journey for CMMB. We’ve seen site visitors increase by 102 percent and that means more people than ever are learning about our mission to bring improved healthcare to women and children living in extreme poverty.”
“On behalf of the academy members, I'd like to applaud the entrants this season for their dedication to producing outstanding content as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.” – Derek Howard, director of the AIVA.
