February 07, 2018 – Indigenous Conference Services (ICS Australia) is jointly hosting the 2018 International Indigenous Chronic Diseases Conference and the 2018 Indigenous Mental Health Conference scheduled to be held in Cairns QLD on the 1st – 3rd August 2018 at the Pullman International Hotel with the Indigenous Wellbeing Centre (IWC) and Maari Ma Health. This initiative is designed to provide a voice for the community as well as develop and share information between community, service providers and governments.
Furthermore, the 2018 National Indigenous Men's Conference and the 2018 Indigenous Women's Conference will also be held at Pullman International Hotel in Cairns on June 13-15, 2018 which are centred on Men’s Health & Wellbeing and Women’s Health & Wellbeing respectively. The conference envisions to embracing the philosophy of Indigenous community controlled and mainstream service providers through promoting an informative forum of research, health education and training of staff for the betterment of Indigenous wellbeing.
Moreover, two of our inaugural conferences will be held in Canberra on 5th – 6th July 2018. The Black Thunder: The Power of Black Voices Towards 2020 Conference is designed to inspire and enthuse delegates in various areas of Indigenous affairs; whereas, the 2018 National Indigenous Employment: Building A Future Conference will bring together organisations, employers and government agencies to discuss and paint a bigger picture of Indigenous employment in line with the Australian Government’s Indigenous Advancement strategy. As part of this conference, a trade show will be held in which we provide an opportunity for organisations who find difficulties in attracting staff to meet face to face with specialised employment opportunities e.g. locums from within the medical field for individuals, universities and other training providers for government organisations.
Listed below are the conferences planned and lined-up for this year. Call for papers are now open and sought for. Please submit your entry online at www.indigenoushealth.net

With this in mind, we are extremely keen to receive input and ideas of topics of concern from around Australia which may not have the chance to be addressed in the previous year’s conference topics and agenda.
We consider ourselves to be privileged to meet such talented, diverse and professional individuals and dynamic groups last year. We wish to say thank you and our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your dedication in closing the gap. Moreover, we look forward to working with individuals, community controlled organizations, governments and non-government organisations in a not too distant future. With your support, we will strive to making 2018 an even more meaningful year in professional education for our mob! So, be proactive in closing the gap! Submit your entry NOW!
