Montreal Impact Trounced By Expansion Los Angeles FC 3-5

The expansion Los Angles football club was in a punishing mood when they met Montreal Impact last Saturday. This win by Los Angeles FC meant that they have won two games in a row now. They beat the Montreal Impact 5 to 3 in a thrilling game that saw Expansion team score four goals in the second half.

An 83rd-minute penalty kick by Carlos Vela sealed the game for expansion Los Angeles FC team. Montreal impact was in fine form during the game and was in a commanding position with a hattrick by Ignacio Piatti. Montreal had to lose a player in the 31st minute of the game. Victor Cabrera’s tackle on Marco Urena in the penalty box earned him a straight red card from the referee. Urena could not convert this penalty kick and Montreal leads the Los Angles 2-1 at that time.

When it was Vela’s turn to take the penalty kick in the 83rd minute, he did not miss the mark like Urena and scored a shot down the middle to take his team to a 4-3 lead. In the 89th minute, Los Angeles FC’s Blessing sealed the game with the 5th goal for his team.
