SmartMetric To Release Single Touch Biometric Sensor For Its Biometric Activated Credit Cards

NEW YORK, April 26, 2018 — SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB:SMME) – SmartMetric, the maker of the biometric protected credit card announces that it has successfully created its single touch sensor technology that automatically turns on the biometric credit/debit card the moment the card user touches the fingerprint sensor on the surface of the card.
“Our previous biometric card model had a separate on switch which meant the card user would have to touch the on switch and then touch the sensor.  Having the on switch integrated into the fingerprint scanning sensor now allows for a much simpler and more intuitive experience for the card user,” said today, Chaya Hendrick, President & CEO of SmartMetric.SmartMetric, along with its North American distributor PROTEC, is in active biometric card implementation negotiations with some the largest credit card financial institutions in the United States. “Credit Card issuers are recognizing the advantages of offering a biometric protected credit card to meet the security concerns of their customers.  Moreover it is being recognized that a biometric credit card is in fact a new credit card category that will be a great new product to attract new customers in the fiercely competitive credit card world amongst card issuers,” said Chaya Hendrick.  A big advantage for card issuers is that once a customer has a biometric card in their wallet it would without doubt become the most used card out of all the other cards they may have.  On average, credit card users in the United States have 4 cards in their wallets.  Of course the most favored card that is used the most earns the most money for the card issuing Bank.Defending against fraud, attracting new customers, and increasing card transaction revenue from being the most favored card in the wallet are all compelling advantages to card issuers.SmartMetric has spent over a decade to make its electronics thin enough to fit inside a standard credit/debit card.  It is powered by an internal rechargeable battery that allows the card to do an instant, sub second biometric fingerprint scan prior to the card being inserted into an ATM or retail card reader.“Having our card work in existing card readers was a critical criteria we set out to achieve in our product development and having achieved this objective we now find a tremendous amount of interest in our biometric thin card technology for many new card based security applications,” said today SmartMetric’s President and CEO, Chaya HendrickThe SmartMetric biometric card stores the card holders fingerprint inside the card.  At no time does the persons fingerprint leave the card.  This is obviously much more secure than a card system that sends a person’s fingerprint across a network for a comparison with a stored fingerprint on a central remote computer somewhere in the cloud. The SmartMetric Biometric card is a powerful new technology in the multibillion dollar fight against ID theft and credit card fraud.SmartMetric is a United States company with its head office in Las Vegas, Nevada. It has a team of advanced engineers in Tel Aviv, Israel and has mass manufacturing capacity in various parts of the world. The company can now manufacture 1 million cards a month and has the capacity to increase this significantly based on product demand. The SmartMetric biometric card is protected by five (5) recently “issued” patents. Additional patents are pending. SmartMetric is prepared and willing to defend its patents vigorously against all infringers.  To this end SmartMetric has engaged legal representation highly experienced in patent litigation and enforcement. “SmartMetric has the best product of its kind but like any great new product, copy cats appear who attempt to replicate or reverse engineer what has taken us years of research and development to make.  We will continue to offer what is without question the most compelling and leading biometric card product but will also defend our leading position by litigation against patent infringers,” said SmartMetric’s President & CEO, Chaya Hendrick. To view a video of the SmartMetric card follow this link SmartMetric Biometric Card VideoTo contact the representative for the SmartMetric biometric credit/security card within the USA please contact PROTEC Secure Card, Tracey Breckenridge at [email protected].
