With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Heberling has been the owner and sole proprietor of Chilly Pup Productions since 2010. In this role, he focuses on web development, hosting and media, and has done extensive photography and website designs. Prior to founding his own firm, he was a manager of the WSI Internet Consultant Franchise from 2008 to 2010, a manager at AOL Internet Services from 1997 to 2007, and a senior information system engineer with Mitretek Systems from 1996 to 1997.

Mr. Heberling began his career as a student at James Madison University from 1973 to 1974, joining the United States Air Force as a law enforcement specialist from 1975 to 1979. From 1979 to 1982, he was an entry controller with Chievres Air Base in Belgium, and he joined Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma as a security police flight chief. Earning a Bachelor of Science in computer science with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1986, he was promoted to commissioned second lieutenant the same year. He was a computer officer at Air Force Headquarters in Washington, DC, from 1987 to 1991, advancing to the rank of captain in 1990. He served as an information systems officer with the Defense Information Systems Agency until his retirement from the Air Force in 1994, joining the White House as senior systems administrator from 1994 to 1996.

Throughout his career, Mr. Heberling has been decorated with various Air Force medals, and he is particularly proud of the work he did while working on the White House website. He has traveled extensively, including with the National Geographic Explorer to Antarctica, where he was able to engage in rare photography opportunities. In his free time, Mr. Heberling enjoys cooking, skiing, traveling, photography and working with computers.
