Based on the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, we believe the middle class are likely to spend most on their basic and security needs as well as esteem needs. Therefore we have targeted 4 main industries to invest in.”
The 4 main industries are agriculture, property, international trade and travel.
Agriculture where the fund seeks to capitalize on positive macroeconomic fundamentals by investing in agricultural natural resources and hi tech agricultural companies.
Property where the fund seeks to provide investors with exposure to a diversified portfolio of Asia residential property assets with the potential for attractive long-term returns through a combination of capital growth and net rental income.
International trade where we seeks to capitalize on regional free-trade zone by investing in trading and logistic companies.
As well as travel where the fund seeks to further diversify the portfolio by investing in the travel industry value chain, ranging from traditional and online travel agencies, air tickets brokerage companies, travel insurance and hospitality companies.
Combining the above investment areas, Ultimus finely positions its portfolio to ride on the industries powered by the ever growing middle-income groups, finding balance between high-growth and low-risk.
