March 05, 2018 – The United States Power SquadronsÂ® (USPS) announces the debut of its streaming media video â€œVisual Distress Signalsâ€� on Americaâ€™s Boating Channelâ„¢, which can be found online at americasboatingchannel.com and as a free mobile app available at Appleâ€™s App Store and Google Play.
The new â€œVisual Distress Signalsâ€� video shows what boating activities require which types of U.S. Coast Guard approved visual distress signals.
Viewers will also learn about different types of visual distress signals.
Also featured are tips for safely transporting and storing them aboard boats.
The â€œVisual Distress Signalsâ€� video is also being distributed by Americaâ€™s Boating Channel through popular social media including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Americaâ€™s Boating Channel will launch a new title each week through April, as most Americans prepare for the 2018 recreational boating season. All video programming on the channel is offered at no charge.
Americaâ€™s Boating Channel is produced under a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
